When Jim asked me to contribute to his "Fredericksblog," what immediately came to mind is food. (Most things make me think of food, incidentally, but I digress ...)

I've lived in Fredericksburg for six years, having gone to Mary Washington (College, not University, thankyouverymuch) and gotten a job in town directly afterward, and when people ask me what I love most about the town, the first thing I mention is the restaurants. Oh, the restaurants. My lifeblood.

There are dozens of amazing places to eat, drink and be merry around here, so I'll dedicate my summer blog entries to raving about them. I'll probably mention other things I love about Fredericksburg, too, but to be honest, I can think of only a few non-food-related Fredloves of mine, so they'll be few and far between.

My first entry, because I ate there last night, will be Soup & Taco. I'm salivating just thinking about it.
