Comments
It was interesting to read Laura Moyers' blog entry, "Just nod if you can hear me!" ,at the Free Lance-Star site on June 30th. She talks about a lack of comments in response to her blog entries and that's something all of us watch for. Laura is a terrific writer and her postings are always focused and well thought out. With compelling content, readership and commentary will come.
I've been very fortunate both here and over at Paradigms , averaging nearly one comment per posting. The fact is though that anyone who writes for publication appreciates knowing they are read even if the commentary is critical. Laura's audience here on line is still developing here on line as it is for most bloggers. The critical factors are to deliver good content and to be visible. Her content is certainly that as indeed it is for most of the FLS bloggers. The visibility issue is being addressed over there as well as Portsia Smith, Brian Baer and others work to re-tool and re-configure www. Fredericksburg.com. I looked at their preview of the new site the other day and it's going to be neat when it's up and running.
If you like what you read there or here, let us know. If you don't like it let us know that too so we can look for ways to improve our product.
Meanwhile I'll continue reading Laura, Portsia, Jesse, Carolyn and the rest at FLS blogs to watch how the pros do it.

Hey, Jim Just to let you know I have been enjoying the blogs, but not really taking time to reply...they are all well written, and very enjoyable to read! It's a different kind of internet experience. Great pictures, too! Keep up the good work...
