Schooler House B & B

I had the pleasure this week of staying for two nights at the Schooler House
B&B in Fredericksburg. Okay, I was working, but it felt like a
vacation!
My friend, Andi, is the innkeeper. She has created a lovely oasis in the
middle of town; her style and decorating talent are very evident in her
collection of beautiful antiques ranging from old buttons to snow globes. And
the art is absolutely to die for!!!! You can walk into a room ten times and
each time see something new!

Willie's Room is the larger suite of the two rooms
available. It includes a bedroom, small sitting area, and a lovely bath,
complete with claw-footed tub. This is where I stayed and I loved it; the bed
sits high and is very comfortably made up with fine linens. The bath has an
extensive mirror collection which, surprisingly, is not a deterrent to getting
naked and jumping in the bath!

Annie's Room is next door and is also gorgeous and
comfortable. With a gas log fireplace, I can envision sleeping in on a cold
winter morning, though I certainly would not want to miss one of Andi's fine
breakfasts!

I'm including a few links here for your further information:
Take a look at the links; there are plenty of photos and some great
history to back up my descriptions of this beautiful inn right here in our
hometown. Please tell your friends about The Schooler House or treat yourself
to a night or two there; you don't have to go away to feel like you've gotten
away.
