Through young eyes

The
point of this blog has always been to let you know what’s coming up and less
about what has already happened.  Sometimes though something that has already occurred
is worth some coverage and Friday night’s art show opening at Sara Irby’s
Studio A was just such an occasion. Repeating her efforts on behalf of the art
programs of Fredericksburg Head Start she opened a month long exhibit of art by
kids. The great thing about art by kids of Head Start age is that their
imaginations are so joyfully unfettered and have yet to be limited by even the
smallest adult influences. How do these teachers do it, teach the little ones
without limiting them? The exhibit is up all this month so you can still enjoy what
these young minds have conjured up to express themselves. Below is one  of the
young creators with her works of which she is justifiably proud. The works
are for sale and all proceeds go to benefit the Head Start art program. You’re
sure to find a “one of a kind” treasure for your empty wall.
